Elderly Women
Live with Dignity
& Peace of Mind
A community-driven effort providing financial support, stability, and independence for women in Montclair, NJ.

A Legacy of Compassion
A story rooted in care, community, and dignity
In 1915, after losing her husband in World War I, Caroline Sellew opened her Montclair home to women facing the same loss—offering them comfort, support, and a place to belong. For over 110 years, her home provided security and sisterhood. Her legacy lives on through the foundation, continuing to support women in times of need.

Continuing Caroline’s Legacy
Today, the foundation provides direct financial assistance to elderly women in the Montclair community who are struggling to cover basic living expenses.
By helping women maintain independence and stability in their own homes, we continue Caroline Sellew’s vision of ensuring that women in our community feel supported, secure, and cared for.
